Ellen Byham would love to visit your classroom, school library, or homeschool group. If you live locally, it can be in person; if you are far away, it can be via Zoom. Adult group visits are also available.

What is an author visit?

Ellen will visit your group and tailor the time and content to fit your group. Thistle, Bee, & Finch, children’s book visits may be 30 minutes to an hour.

Adult and teen group visits may be up to two hours in length, depending on the content desired. A whole-day conference and special event is available.

School visits for 2025/26 will have a fee schedule. Library visits for 2025/26 be free for children’s hour. A limited fee may be arranged for teen or adult classes. Educators will have print costs or craft costs depending on the presentation.

Ellen has all current child abuse, criminal clearances, and fingerprinting in place.

  • Educators and leaders contact Ellen with your idea for a visit.

  • Detail your visit with Ellen. Include length, content you would like presented and the dates and times.

  • Finalize all details and advertise appropriately for your group. Teachers, send home parent information regarding book orders etc. Adult groups, get your attendance filled by social media, etc.
